Come on in to the front room of Halloween House and we'll wait for the trick or treaters together.......

Well we've finally made it through to the last room of the Halloween House.

As you can tell from the photos, things have been moving about from one photo shoot to another. I'm not sure exactly who's had more fun with having the house out all the time, me, the cats, or the kids. Ms. Baggs, Apriliano and Mr. Hawthorne J. Mouse (he plays the part of the trick or treater in our little vinette) all of these characters have taken to moving from room to room at will it would seem. Never know where they will be.

This pumpkin started the whole thought process of Halloween House. It was in a box of doll house electrical parts and pieces that I found at Habitat for Humanity's Restore shop. I was taken by the thought of a whole house decorated for Halloween. Then, I saw Knickertwist's dusty, wonderful mansion that she made and I was hooked. It just had to be. So that when I saw the 4 room house at Savers junk store......Kismet.

And some of Ms. Baggs sweeties to share with the trick or treaters
I've got a confession to make....I am so in love with this house. I don't think I'll be able to stop with just one. And I must learn how to construct a home fitting magical beings.....a kit will just not do. So I am going to enlist the help of some special people to teach me some new skills so that will be able to continue not only the mini making but also the story telling that has a million and one possibilities.

This room proved to be the most difficult because of the staircase. Not easy to wallpaper around an object like this. Neither was it easy to paint around. But the runs on the front of the staircase proved to be a great display for miniaturized, vintage Halloween decorations.

Hope you enjoy and that you will be back to find out about Ms. Baggs and her bloody axe and pail. It is quite an adventure story. Don't miss the 17th as we party with Ms. Magaly at Witch's in Fiction, Crafting, Blooming, Howls.
