Yesterday was another red letter day here at Casa de Cuckoo.
We got another feline member of the family. She is a 7 year old domestic short haired kitten cat who is white with gorgeous grey and black markings on her head and tail. She is what my Daddy Jack used to call "a ring tailed tooter". I have no idea what that is but that is what he called all cats with striped tails.
She is mellow, laid back, likes to be held, purrs some but hasn't had a chance to let er rip yet.
It will take her awhile to settle into our household. Cybella has been manic ever since she first sniffed evidence of yet another cat in the house. But afterall, she was the newest until "the ring tailed tooter" arrived. Sunny Bunny is steering clear of any an all interaction because....he's smart. Why go where it might cost you some dignity. He's fourteen, been around the block a few times and just wants peace, man.
Ellie Mae, the terrible terrier is very excited to have a new playmate. The new playmate was very polite at first and then smacked Ellie, although she did hold her claws in so that's a good thing.
Last night, the Cuckettes thought her name might be Tricksie, today however they are favoring Gabby. Time will tell but we are thrilled to have found a place inside our home and hearts for a lady who was a stray and now is a part of a crazy household filled with people and playmates.
I'll keep you updated on her progress.

ReplyDeleteShe is precious, and she does NOT look like she's 7 but much younger. I like the expression in her eyes; like she's studying everything ;-)
