a question and answer forum.....for the time being. All things change and become something else if there is growth even Olde Baggs.

A change in the way my blog will be..........

I have been in hibernation, I guess. Lots of things should already have been done but in the last couple of days, I've awakened again and thus the changes.

First, I will be answering your comments here on the blog. Ms. Magaly gave me the link to be able to figure this all out.....I am so excited. I have meant to reply to your comments all along. But then life gets in the way and I say to myself.....after a little while and then I wake up the next morning like a goose and it is a brand new day. Sorry. So I am hoping this will solve that problem. So if you want to know what I have said to you about what you have said to me......check back ya'll.

2nd, the first list of books to be given away will be on the sidebar starting Monday. Remember, you pay the postage and I send the book. This way we will both be recycling.

3rd, I have plans to be more involved in my craft beginning this month. I have been neglectful and with the grands being out of school in two weeks.....now is the time. That way they are involved and I am too.

4th, I have to say that I notice a trend on blogs in general. I have a friend on Blogger, who no longer blogs but checks up on us every once in awhile. She predicted that blogging would fall off the first of the year for the majority of "just folks" and increase in thrust for "professional bloggers". I think she was/is right. She has also predicted several natural disasters almost to the moment....so. I plan to post once a week here at Ye Olde Crones Gazette and feature Ms. Baggs as she adventures her way around the fantasy realm and once a week with catch ups about what the heathens and I are getting into this summer.

Now let's see if Oma Linda can follow through and get er done.

  1. my own blogging has fallen off the last couple of months. don't know why exactly besides being busy slogging through all the work that backed up while we did the big project. and it being spring and all makes me want to be outside digging in the dirt.

    1. Ellen, all that you have been involved in tells the why of lack of blogging. And I agree, the soil has called my name as well. I'm just in a place where I need more discipline and if I say it in front of others then, I feel compelled to be good.

  2. It sounds like you're re-inventing yourself as well as your blog. I find that this is generally a good thing and I wish you the best. I'll read whatever you post.

    1. Thanks for your vote of confidence Mr. Chatterbox. I am glad you will be reading my "stuff".

  3. My only excuse for not blogging as often as I used to is I haven't anything worthwhile to say. I'm in a slump and it would appear I am not the only one who is. S&S

    1. Many of us have had the doldrums as we have discussed at length. For some reason this weekend, it was like a fog lifted and I'm back to being able to handle what is. S&S

  4. It's funny, I noticed bear blogs dropped right off ages ago, but sewing/quilting ones are really going strong, especially non-professional ones - the few that have gone pro seem to be posting much less, and therefore readers have dropped off, I do wonder how long they will survive as 'pros' behaving like that...

    1. I have seen that as well and wonder if it isn't a real necessity thing also. When you are expected to do something ad nauseum, for me it gets to be tedious and takes a lot of energy. So maybe the pros have other things to worry about....who knows....right?

  5. I understand why blogging has diminished for many - with Facebook being so popular with those who blog and those who have never blogged. But for me, it's still the only "social network" I enjoy. I find FB to be very invasive and quite limiting by comparison. Busy times often get in the way of posting and especially reading others' blogs as frequently but I hope that blogging stays alive for most of us for a very long time. I always enjoy yours so I'm glad to see you're sticking around. :)

  6. Good for you Oma Linda! You are going to be a busy young lady ;o) I have full faith in you, you will accomplish everything ;o) You are good for commenting back to people! I use to do it and then I thought, is anyone coming back to read my comments? So I stopped! LOL! About blogging, I love the blogs I follow. I might be late coming around to comment, but I am always there! ;o) As for me, I love to blog too. When I have finished a new piece of art, the first thing I think about is my blog ;o) Now that I am gardening, I want to share everything about that too ;o) I'm not on facebook, or twitter, so blogging is what I have ;o) I'm not going anywhere! ;o) I just joined Pinterest, but I don't understand it, and probably won't get around to it, until fall ;o) Ok, I am writing a book! Big Hugs ;o)

  7. Oh dear, I'm one of those who has been absent from blogging, and all those good intentions I had about blogging more often have been used to pave the way to Hades...OY!!

I'll drop by every so often to read about you and yours and all those wonderful stories, thoughts, creations and just plain "Linda Stuff."

    Loves ya,
    G

  8. I can most certainly relate to hybernating... For me life just gets so busy and something has to give, alas it is blogging. I think all we can do is try our best and leave the rest to the wind. I'm making a concerted effort to not giving in to the stress monster of unmet, unrealistic pressure generally self imposed.
    Have a really great day.
    Always, Queenie
